im forager, a character artist and designer. thank you so much for checking out my work!

through here you can find my examples as well as any information in my process. i typically open commissions once a month, however with busy months this may become sporadic! accepted commissions will be processed and discussed through discord.

i take payments through paypal invoice, and ko-fi
tips are always greatly appreciated, however not required

PAYMENT

payment is required in full up-front prior to starting
all payments are completed in usd, through paypal invoice
payment must be received within 48 hours
commission payments will be transferred through paypal invoice or ko-fi, with a %4 tax to the initial base-price. designs will not be taxed
when requesting a quote, payment is not due upfront, until confirmation between both parties. note that quotes may expire over time
refunds are negotiable, however after the confirmation sketch you risk only gaining a max of 60% returned, after lining is completed, refunds are non-negotiable
character changes are acceptable prior to the confirmation sketch
complicated designs, add-ons, or props may increase listed pricing — after two (a couple) added characters are +%70 the commission base

PROCESS

each commission will take a few days to three months to complete, with updates. if any delays, i will update you accordingly; however please contact if you have any questions!

i must receive a clean, digital and unwatermarked reference — solely base-design references may require an extra fee
concept sketch(es) will be provided. the client will then have the opportunity to choose from poses (or expressions). feel free to ask for different prompts
once the concept sketch is accepted a defined sketch in your character's image will be sent for approval. this is known as the confirmation sketch. large changes after this may result in a fee
small revisions or edits are welcomed, even after completion. larger revisions may require a fee, unless forgotten on my end. please do not hesitate to let me know anything i may have missed or forgotten
minor revisions are accessible prior to a month after finalization
unapproved sketches may be recycled into new works; and do not belong to the client

DESIGNS

Making carbon copies of my designs, hypos, referencing, or etc. is strictly prohibited. If unsure on the status if you may or not, please contact me, I am always happy to review or answer inquiries
Making extreme edits, or changes to my designs is not allowed.
Redesigns must still be identifiable from the original design, and may not be uploaded as a separate character, even if commissioned by another artist; however are welcomed as a sub-character design, or alternative.
When transferring my designs, the buyer may not sell for higher than what you paid unless art is added, this does not include gift art
Trading, selling, or transferring designs within a two-week period is extremely frowned upon, and can result in purchase suspension if a common reoccurrence
Co-owning is not allowed
You may not add strict or controlled T.O.S to designs I have made for any reason — This means returns, trades, or more, unless stated otherwise by forager. priority pings are allowed
After a transfer of a design to another user after initial purchase, my terms of service must be passed accordingly
When offering on designs, do not edit your comment, or offer. This may result in an invalid bid
payment plans for designs are allowed under a two-week time period standard, with a required down payment of at minimum 35% percent. longer time stamps can be discussed with exceedingly large payments
When bidding/offering on designs, be sure to certify your purchase. Backing out can be hard for the designer— if backed out, unless of an emergency, more than 2-3 times. You will risk blacklisting, or purchase suspension. please contact forager first

COPYRIGHT

i reserve the right to copyright commissioned artwork (use for portfolio, promotion, and posts — )
personal use of commissioned work is encouraged, this includes making physical copies for personal use only, cropping for icons, banners, and other personalization with proper credit
referencing, tracing, re-coloring, or editing without permission is strictly prohibited
re-posting artwork is extremely discouraged, however, if done, credit must be given — ask for a watermarked file
clients may not use purchased commissions for any commercial purposes (ie producing prints, shirts, badges, etc, with the intent to resell)
use of my work for non-fungible tokens (NFTs), ai-training, or cryptocurrency is strictly prohibited

i typically will not appeal blacklisting, however, i can discuss possibilities for those still interested in my work

These users by any means are not allowed any of my designs or able to commission me
Only designs prior to blacklisting should be owned by users on the blacklist

do you take custom commissions?
no i do not, however, i host a quarterly custom auction that you can find more information about in my server!

may i message you for a commission quote?
yes, however note that overtime the quote may change or expire based on length of time, change in prices, or etc. please make sure to double check with me when putting in an order

how do i enhance my chances of my commission being accepted?
feel free to send me an interest check query! this is simply a way to check in with me to see if i'd be comfortable working with specific characters or prompts. unlike a quote, this does not provide a payment estimate. these do not guarantee a slot

what characters do you enjoy working with?
it all depends, and fluctuates. feel free to ask what im most in the mood for! if your character has a specified physical trait (ex. down-turned eyes, large nose bridge, crooked teeth, etc.) i highly recommend informing me however as small notes tend to consecutively catch my interest

how often do you open commissions?
at the moment, i do not have a set schedule, however plan to set up a monthly form soon! which they are easier to catch a slot in my server versus a public posting

may i submit multiple commission forms?
yes, however please no more than five. specify if you are able to afford all, one, or etc. in the notes section of at least one your commission form

may i request a different brush style for my commission?
feel free, it helps to link my work with the brush in use! note; specific brush requests may add fees due to the extra time and precision they take

what crayon brush do you use, can you share your others?
it's a medibang brush! fluffy pastel (thin). as for my other brushes, many are base program set with a few of my own custom personal brushes. i prefer not to give out this information

do you accept private commissions, is a fee required?
yes, this is perfectly okay with me; no extra fee is required! a middle ground of heavy watermark is however preferred, simply for possible portfolio work or as website example

may i commission a gift for someone else?
yes, this is not a problem, please specify any details such as privacy till completion, deadline (fee required+), or etc. in the form

do you take human commissions?
no, but i can discuss quotes for anthropomorphic characters
